Traditional Kizomba is about a 4/4 tact which contains mainly soft rhythms with African sounds. The attitude with the traditional Kizomba is usually very close, the guidance is produced mainly by the touch of the breast of the dancing partners. The Angolan Kizomba is danced fine and sensually. This is for beginner mostly the biggest hurdle or inhibition. Most must get used to the nearness of this close dance first of all. However, after a few dances the security already adjusts itself mostly.

Capverdian Kizomba differs near the language by its more romantic character.
